Hopefully you'll find the answer below, if you have any questions or queries please do not hesitate to contact us.
What do I need to do before and after collection?
You need to clear all personal contents from your vehicle and remove the tax disc, as you can claim back any unused road tax from the DVLA.
If your vehicle is being scrapped we will issue you with a Certificate of Destruction (CoD) we will also tell the DVLA that you are no longer responsible for the vehicle. It is a now a legal requirement for all scrap cars to be issued with an official DVLA Certificate of Destruction when they reach the end of their useful life.
If your vehicle is being sold or transferred, your vehicle registration certificate (V5C) tells you what sections to fill in. You should complete the V5C/3 ‘Notification of sale or transfer’ section of your vehicle registration certificate (V5C), and send it to DVLA, Swansea, SA99 1BD.
Failure to notify the DVLA could result in prosecution. If you do not have the (V5C) then you must notify the DVLA in writing (always by recorded post).
Is Mac Autos registered with DVLA?
